Safe dining at the Lodge at Blue Sky in Utah

Notes from the road

Tips From The Road

While most of our travelers await vaccines, some of the Gray & Co. team has ventured out to keep up on vital connections, best practices and intelligence.

Tips for navigating as safely as possible include booking the night before arrival and wiping down sneaky surfaces (e.g. TV remote control and light switches). Expect delays most everywhere from check in to elevators and valet. In addition, we recommend the following:

  • Call the front desk (not reservations) in advance to find out which services are functioning at the hotel – room service? Housekeeping every day? Turndown (no thanks!)? Exercise room open? Is there a limit on how many people can work out? A sign-up sheet? Pool access and procedures? Laundry? Is the bar open? Is there a mini bar? Or an empty fridge you can use in room? Ice?
  • Make meal reservations in advance as most venues are working with limited capacity, and often times limited menus.
  • Book the night before prior to arrival, or at least ask for early check in (even if you aren’t sure you’ll be early) to guarantee more time between the last guest.
  • Double check which local attractions are open, and confirm their operating hours
