Where To Now

Give your Peloton a break and head south in 2020. January to April is a great time to road bike in the Southern Hemispheres. We know the smoothest pavement in Australia, New Zealand, California, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and South Africa.

In the Land Down Under, we’ve crafted rides near Melbourne, Adelaide, Kangaroo Island and the Sunshine Coast. Tasmania offers both rides and hikes from Saffire Lodge in Freycinet National Park. The North Island of NZ is home to luxe lodge Wharekauhau as well as Julian Robertson’s Cape Kidnappers. On the South Island, Queenstown is a great basecamp. In California, we’re crazy about the Fess Parker in ‪Los Olivos. Chile’s Vina Vik is close to Santiago and about as luxurious as it gets—and always happy to welcome Gray & Co. bikers. Equally simpatico are Uruguay’s members of the family, Playa and Estancia Vik. In Argentina, the remote city of Cafayate is at the end of a stunning red rock canyon road, the Quebrada de las Conchas. And don’t make us pick just one spot in South Africa—there are just too many exceptional properties and jaw-dropping routes!
